I’ve taught guitar in the Bay Area since 2012 - dozens of students in a variety of genres, beginner to advanced, ages 8 to 80!
My teaching philosophy is based on my own experience discovering the guitar at age 12. My favorite moments teaching come when a student’s eyes light up from the excitement of playing a song they love, which is a feeling I know well.
I don’t teach from method books but instead tailor lessons to the specific desires of each student. Just want to strum songs by the campfire? No problem! Want an in-depth knowledge of music theory to hone your soloing? We can do that too.
I also offers lessons in composition and modern music production techniques, which is a growing area of demand especially among young musicians.
