The Chris AB Story

Chris Adgar-Beal was born and raised in Gig Harbor, Washington and graduated from Santa Clara University magna cum laude with bachelor’s degrees in Music and Economics.

Chris picked up a guitar (strung backwards) at the age of 12 and a lifelong obsession was born. He studied classical guitar as a teenager under James Thornton and received several awards and scholarships for his classical playing.

Though playing the guitar has always been important to his personal identity, Chris particularly loves the magic and energy that are exchanged between performer and audience. Ever since discovering this feeling, Chris has jumped into every live playing situation he can find, whether in bands or solo.

Lately Chris has explored further into Jazz and Flamenco guitar playing, as well as experimenting with the intersection of guitar and electronic music.
